Taking a selfie, along with copies of your government ID is now being requested by sites for affiliate programs. Business with those who make you uncomfortable is best minimized, or avoided altogether. While moronic behavior has long been a sign of an unsafe business venture. Without a doubt, each of these sites are able to “justify” and provide “reasons” why they’re requiring selfies, but bureaucrats can find reasons and justifications for literally everything that they do. Regardless of if they are employed by the government or in private sector, creating excuses for their idiotic bureaucracy is the one skill that all functionaries have in common.

Any businessperson with an iota of commonsense will quickly point out that paperwork eats in to their profits. For the intelligent, it’s a question of how much should they tolerate before they move on to easier and more profitable people to work with. So for many, taking a selfie can very much be where they draw the line, and they will dump companies making such a requirement. Unfortunately, alternative options are dwindling, as Big Tech’s oligarchy grows.

Our options become even more limited when you consider that there is no shortage of people in developing nations willing jump through hoops, taking a selfie, or whatever else is requested for a fraction of the payoff we expect. The 3rd world sees the Internet like a promised land of potential revenue, and many companies are happy to replace each Western partner lost with dozens more in non-occidental nations. Long term, they’ll be able to pay these new colleagues less money, thereby increasing their profits. No doubt that many international government circles are betting that they can turn impoverished nations into richer ones and when they become too expensive, they’ll turn their eyes back towards us, who in desperation will cooperate with whatever they ask.

The backbone of tyranny is bureaucratic policies. They may be simply doing business, but they are creating serfdom for society. Tyrants, including private sector ones, are short sighted morons because they seldom look towards creating anything of quality or endurance, in either their products or commercial endeavors. The lure of easy money and prestige is hard to refuse, but it’s a game that the majority of players end up losing. Cooperating with tyranny is perhaps even more short-sighted and stupid because your role as only a pawn has been made abundantly clear. Perhaps taking a selfie “for security reasons” is an innocuous request, but it’s not going to stop there, so don’t be surprised when they demand bio-metric data or worse. You’re in control today; be careful what you give away, or you may lose that control.

One of the perks of being pornographer is that whenever I want, I get to be the prick and no one thinks any less of me (mostly because their opinions of me were never very high to begin with). My partner and I own several sites, but only a fraction of them are pornographic adult sites. In all honesty, it’s our business’ porn foundation that keeps everything flowing. It’s through our sex sites that we’re able to leech visitors to our mainstream portals and it’s through the sex industry that I network the necessary real life business contacts that fund a large portion of our endeavors.

We’ve had an ongoing problem with Adsense and, to the best of my knowledge, it started with a private function that I was invited to. The invitation wasn’t for a businessman that just happens to be a pornstar and pornographer but for a pornographer who just happens to also be a businessman. Therefore there were certain expectations and conditions attached to my invite and I satisfactorily met those terms. The function had one individual who felt that he was entitled to certain services but I’ve zero interest of getting involved with him. Needless to say that when “not interested” and shortly thereafter a straightforward “no” weren’t accepted, I needed to become the prick. (Albeit, I was very diplomatic and discreet in my refusal. – Something I don’t normally do when I’m the prick.)

Adsense is probably the best advertising network available and I only have one complaint, the lack of any real technical support. Otherwise, it’s by far the best solution to monetize a site with advertising available. Therefore, with a handful of our sites blacklisted, (by I suspect, the above aforementioned asshole). We were forced to explore other options. – What a frigging mess!

Alternative ad networks did such things as flood a site with popups, redirects, etc. To the point that the site was absolutely buried by the ads. We had very few problems talking to publisher support but no matter what options we selected or workaround we developed, within 24hours the problems returned. So we examined adult ad networks that said they could handle mainstream and unfortunately they just couldn’t keep the tits and ass off our family friendly sites. I have to be the prick in this situation by saying, “GET YOUR FUCKING SHIT TOGETHER.”

Be objective oriented at all costs

It takes very little to be successful in business. Determination and face-to-face networking can easily make up for lack of funds. While hard-work and self-teaching any necessary skills gives you an edge with an intimate understanding of how your business works, while putting total control over your profit into your own hands. By contrast, there is nothing more efficient in the destruction of profits than a lack of communication with clients and neglecting your product or service. The business model of creating an automated web platform and then ignoring is a recipe for failure, unless of course you’re the government or you own a monopoly. The prick knows this and he puts his foot up the asses of lazy losers or he looks to make new deals with businesses run by professionals.

Being the prick is knowing that you’re not here to be anyone’s friend. Unless you’re a non-profit, your goals are primarily financially based. In an era of political correctness (woke-ism), it’s even more important to be the prick in order to “get the job done.” Wanting a better society is a noble pursuit and I’m more than willing to render assistance. But creating a world without social division demands an absurdly enormousness amount of resources, both monetary and material. It won’t happen overnight and it certainly won’t happen without clear direction, so one can expect, even in such lofty pursuits, at some point someone will have to take charge and be the prick.

Progress, when it comes to the porn industry, is really nothing more than change. And since the sex acts have essentially remained the same for all of human history, change comes in the form of how we record and distribute our products. For years now, the mantra has been “Adapt or Die“, almost always telling someone to figure out how to embrace new technologies. This short sighted approach may work for geeks that spend the majority of their lives on the Internet in front of some sort of screen. But it doesn’t make sense to continuously upgrade your camera equipment when the investment doesn’t increase profits, but rather just keeps you making the same product at an increased cost for an over saturated market.

It’s the smart businessman that realizes his objective is to earn a profit on his investment. Therefore, adapt or die has nothing to do with embracing new tech and everything to do with exploiting his own imagination. It is all about finding someone willing to pay for something you can sell. It doesn’t matter what you sell, only that the consumer sees it as valuable and is willing to pay for it. Getting into the mind of the consumer to learn what he wants and then making him believe that you’re the only one in the world that can satisfy him, is the greatest economic game of adapt or die in existence. Greed is what makes you go after the product and greed to have something someone else has, is what makes the consumer want it. It’s what made the cave-woman seduce the caveman to get the woolly mammoth blanket. Hell, it’s what made the caveman take down the woolly mammoth, to have a hot body sharing his bed.

A successful businessman can be likened to a conniving whore, whose only loyalty is to the bottom line, not any particular client. Find someone willing to pay more for what you’re selling and the price goes up. Greed is natural and in any business adaptation it’s a good thing, despite that most people are ashamed to admit it. Because without greed, we would never feel the need to adapt, and probably, if the expression has any validity, die out.

For better or for worse, but hopefully entertaining, the Jizz Biz’s Meat Puppet finally got off his ass and published a podcast. Topics include, the need to get your paperwork in order, producing for collectors and the demise of the last porn theater in Paris France. I am joined by Ghost, my production assistant, for a little business talk and some laughs about our misadventures in dealing with the regular public.

As with everything, I maintained an old school approach to producing this podcast, but I have high hopes for it. The philosophy behind its format is to follow the KISS rule. Producing content need not be so complicated, and the easiest way to keep things simple is to keep them real. Hopefully others find my reality as entertaining as I do. So anyone that’s looking for stellar special effects, or big name celebrity guests would be better off looking for a different podcast. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a glimpse in to the life of a veteran pornographer then the Steele Hard show is going to be a treat for you.
