Pegging what exactly is it?

In the most simple terms, pegging is when a double X chromosome female sodomizes an XY chromosome male with a strap on. This practice is still considered taboo because it’s practiced mostly by heterosexual couples. And, if you believe in the existence of a patriarchy, then being anally penetrated is not a characteristic of masculinity or virility. Even if you don’t believe that there’s a worldwide masculine conspiracy to control women; the stigma that a man who wants to be “ass fucked” endures is the belief that he is using his female partner as a substitute for latent homosexual desires.

Over the years, the term “pegging” and its practice have become less taboo than before. Perhaps it’s because of people like Cara Delevingue who, in 2021, wore a T-Shirt that said, « Peg the patriarchy » MET Ball. Or, perhaps it’s because there are rumors circulating that Prince William, heir to the British crown, was given permission by Kate Middleton to get pegged by other women. Or perhaps still, it’s as pornstar and pornographer Hamilton Steele believes,  “Sex also has its fads. One moment it’s all about hairy pussy, then the next it’s about women with small tits and hairless vaginas. There’s a minor fad right now about big women ass-fucking men. Fads come and go without the assistance of a patriarchal boogie man.”

However, if pegging seems to be in style with masculine heterosexuals, it’s probably because more and more men are discovering the physical pleasures hidden in their prostrates. In 2017, according to one sex toy retailer, the sale of prostrate stimulaters has increased by 56% among men over 45 years of age.

Pegging shows men a new kind of orgasm.

Gay and bisexual men have proclaimed the joys of anal sex for a very long time. There are also an increasing number of women who, although have no prostrate, also enjoy the intense sensations of being sodomized. We live in a culture where various sex acts have become casual conversation. Therefore, there should be no surprise that traditional heterosexual couples are experimenting with pegging. So the penetrator becomes the penetrated, increasing a couple’s sexual repertoire, creating new sexual pleasures and a reversal of traditional roles.

But if heterosexual men have a tendency to become embarrassed by the sexual use of their anus, they’re not alone. According to a study done by IFOP in 2021 which comprised samples of the French, Italians, Spanish, Germans, and British, “22% of women have already penetrated the rear orifice of their partner with at least a finger. 17% have used their tongues and 13% with some kind of object. ” Therefore, women exploring a man’s anus is not completely rare. Just the same, sodomy is still somewhat taboo. It’s still considered forbidden, dangerous, and unhygienic. Not to mention, anal penetration is very much aligned with submission, regardless if it’s masculine or feminine.

If men are more inclined to discuss sodomizing someone as opposed to being sodomized, the conversation still tends to focus on the greater pleasures anal sex provides. In men it’s because of the prostrate, sometimes called the ” P-Spot. ” The equivalent of the elusive G-spot in women and this P-spot is located in the rectum, close to the urethra and prostate. It’s an erogenous zone with lots of nerve endings, which can cause a different kind of orgasm than the customary ejaculation.

A sexual practice with politics.

Feminists argue that anyone disturbed by the idea of pegging is too tightly aligned with the societal taboos imposed by the patriarchy. For them, the very idea that males should dominate in heterosexual sex is a notion that must be eradicated. Men must penetrate to prove their masculinity and therefore being sodomized by anyone is to voluntarily become submissive, less virile, and thereby effeminate.

In usual fashion, feminism calls for a change in power dynamics. But there’s nothing to think about when you’re about to have sex and focused purely on the physical pleasures of the act. Feminists claim instead that traditional society has denoted that penetration is purely reserved for vaginas. On the other hand, people such as Hamilton Steele, claim that women have been pegging men for thousands of years.  There’s probably a cave drawing somewhere of a woman shoving a tree branch up a man’s ass.  The only difference is we live in an era where talking about what you do in your bedroom wins you magical popularity points. “
