Is Ron Jeremy a rapist ? Because he’s accused of being one and disappointingly, he was someone considered a friend. Ronny isn’t being taken off a friendship list because of a simple accusation because “due process matters.” Everyone should have the chance to face their accusers and challenge the validity of the accusations before a fair and impartial judge. After a finding of guilt would be the most appropriate time to evaluate weather or not to continue to pursue a friendship with the guilty. Therefore, the disappointment is that it’s difficult to watch someone that you liked being accused of a crime like rape.
Since the early 2000s’ there have been accusations by many women that the Hedgehog raped them. My introduction to Ronny was through Teri Weigel and shortly thereafter I was involved (some background camera work) in the mainstream spoof of Being John Malcovich, called Being Ron Jeremy. Shortly thereafter, I met Nicole Moore and her husband Steve Banon and it was the first time I heard about Ron Jeremy being a rapist. From what I understand, Nicole was one of his victims but paradoxically she and Steve remained friends with Ronny. It’s difficult to accept a rape accusation as valid when the victim chooses to continue being friends with their alleged rapist.

Regardless if there is any truth about Ron Jeremy being a rapist, I had observed that he always seemed to be grabby with the women around him. He was, in my presence, quick to back off the moment any of them said “stop”, but until that point, he was aggressively pursuant. You need to put this into context too, that porn performers in general tended to be very sexually open and fans seeking to be seen with a porn star, usually expect some flirtatious attention. At least, that is how things used to be. Anyone that knows him might wonder if this entire, Ron Jeremy being a rapist, situation is simply that the Hedghog didn’t change with the times. Behavior that was acceptable in the 1980s’, was marginally tolerated in the early 2000s’, but by today’s prevailing standards, can be construed as sexual assault. There should be no doubt in any porn industry veteran’s mind that had Ronny kept behaving the way he did when he started his career, sooner or later, he was going to get charged with some form of sexual assault..
Harry Weiss once said to me, “Ron’s problem is that he’s addicted to being Ron.” From Ronny’s humble beginnings as an extra in the original Ghostbusters movie to a line of rolling papers with his face on them, he has rubbed elbows with many of mainstream Hollywood’s elite. He was an immediately recognizable celebrity and a man that seldom seem to sleep because he was always someplace meeting someone important. The Hedgehog was good at social networking, excellent at marketing himself and the best opportunist that the porn industry has ever produced. Unfortunately, he seemed to take it personally with each porn video retired from porno shops shelves and it’s easy to imagine that now with the charges of Ron Jeremy being a rapist have eliminated them from the Internet too.
Online news reports say that Ron is both now incoherent and an invalid while he sits in jail awaiting his trial to determine if there’s any validity to the accusations of Ron Jeremy being a rapist. It’s sad to see an industry veteran and legend suffering in his old age and it’s even more difficult for his friends to watch. Therefore, despite how terrible it might sound, in the interest of justice being served, maybe it’s best to hope that the charges against him are real because that way, his victims can take solace in that a guilty man is paying for his crimes.
