Interview with Porn’s Rattle Snake

Interview with Porn’s Rattle Snake

Guy Delcroix is the Rattle Snake

I met Guy in 2007 when I started working with the porn cinema, Le Beverley in Paris, France. We entered into a distribution deal that gave him the bulk of the earnings but he promised me that he would make up the difference in other more profitable ways. A gentleman of his word, I have no complaints of our working relationship and I’ve greatly benefited from his worldly experiences and contacts.

He’s been in the adult industry since the 1940s by going into bars and selling his sister’s undergarments and nude photos. Making his rounds he had chance meeting with one of mobster Meyer Lansky’s associates which led to him actually meeting the man himself and becoming a sort of delivery service of hookers for prominent businessmen. His big break, or big money haul as he puts it, occurred when one businessman and his wife wanted threesome with a gay/bisexual male.

S.H.: How about we start with you telling me how you got the nick name “The Rattle Snake?”

G.D: Like many boys of my generation I grew up watching movies about gangsters. So when I got the chance to work for them, I did everything I could to be just like them. Lanksky once told me to be discreet about what I do and when the time came to teach someone a lesson, to strike fast and only once. I always do that and that’s how I got my nick name.

S.H: How many times have you had to teach someone a lesson and what were the outcomes of it?

G.D: You expect me to answer that question? Smarten up.

S.H: So how did you get started making porn?

G.D: I always enjoyed photography and by the time I was 12, I had my own dark room and was developing everything I shot. What started with taking pictures of my sister through a peephole I put in her bedroom wall, turned into me photographing the whores I delivered when I was older. When my aunt found out what I was doing she wanted in on the money and convinced me to make a fuck film with her. She took my virginity on film.

S.H: You fucked your real life aunt? Do you still have the film? Did your parents ever find out?

G.D: Yes… Yes… No… And think twice before you ask your next question

S.H: So how did you graduate from working for organized crime to the actual porn industry?

G.D: It was the 1950s and I hiding out in Belgium providing some muscle to a shipping company. My best friend at the time was a whore who had some contacts in France’s (mainstream) film industry. Her and I started by organizing very discreet parties échangistes (swinger parties) with live sex shows. I had gotten really good with a camera and those up and coming movie big shots were willing to put up the money as long as I provided the public face and took all the risks. By the 1960s, I was chauffeuring movies across the Atlantic into the United States and by the 1970s I was putting up my own money for them.

S.H: Have you worked with any of the big name talent?

G.D: Worked with or just fucked?

S.H: Both

G.D: My favorites were Claudine Beccarie and her sister Françoise. Over the years I’ve known Annie Sprinkle, Marilyn Chambers, Ovidie and lots of others. I’m on both sides of the Atlantic and also in multiple nations.

S.H: Coming from the era when porn was illegal and part of organized crime have you ever had any tense or dangerous moments?

G.D: Many of them. I’ve been shot at, had my fingers busted, been poisoned and once left for dead in the Mojave desert.

S.H : Was there ever anyone who you wanted to get rid of because they were too much trouble / bothersome ?

G.D: Andrea Dworkin! (spat on the floor after speaking her name)

S.H: Sounds like you really hated the woman. Why ?

G.D: That fat smelly dyke made everyone’s life hell. I maintain that she never gave a rat’s ass about the women that she claimed to be fighting for. The truth is that even the most desperate whores weren’t wiling to take her money to eat her cunt. I’ve seen her naked twat and there were lots of warts and boils to make you puke. When she opened her legs she stank like a mixture of 3 day old rotting tuna and shit. If she jumped in a lake, she would contaminate it but feminism accepted her with open arms. If just one broad had the guts to eat that fat slob’s puss hole, feminism would have died out and the world would be a better place today.

S.H: OUCH! I’m not sensing a lot of love between you.

G.D: NO! Next question and not about her!

S.H: What are you doing today and where do you see the future of the porn industry?

G.D: Japan is the best money market. China and Saudi Arabia are growth markets but it’s both difficult to produce porn for these markets and difficult to get it into them. People think that the Internet should solve those problems but it doesn’t. The Chinese want to see and hear Chinese fucking and Saudis want Saudi women. Both nations have ultra strict controls and censorship on the Internet and culturally there’s a huge privacy factor. They want to jerk off but they don’t want anyone to know about it, most of all their governments. So it’s all about being able to deliver the videos to them on a physical medium. This interview is getting long so I’m going to let you ask just one more question.

S.D: What advice do you have for anyone wanting to produce porn today?

G.D: Print some business cards and meet some women that are willing to fuck strangers for money. Then go introduce yourself to the masturbaters in bars. After that things should fall into place.

Thank you Mr. Delcroix for your time and candor.
